We’re Not Just Struggling—We’re Separated
Many people think that as long as we try to be good, help others, and avoid the really “big” sins, we’re fine with God. But the Bible tells a different story—one we need to hear before we can truly understand grace.
We are all born with a sin nature. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) That means no matter how good we try to be, we fall short of God’s perfect standard. Sin isn’t just about bad behavior—it’s rebellion against a holy God. It separates us from Him, brings death to our spirits, and leaves us empty, broken, and lost. “The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a). That death isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual separation from God.
No one is exempt. Not the religious. Not the kind. Not the hardworking. We all stand guilty before a holy God. And we cannot save ourselves.
That’s why we need a Savior.
Jesus: The Savior Sent by God
The good news is this: God didn’t leave us in our sin. He sent His Son—Jesus Christ—to do what we could never do: live a sinless life, take our punishment, and make a way back to the Father.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Jesus didn’t die for perfect people—He died for broken, guilty, sinful people… like us. And when He rose from the grave, He proved His power over sin and death. He made a way for us to be forgiven, made new, and brought back into relationship with God.
This salvation is a gift. We can’t earn it. We can’t work for it. It’s received by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)
How to Be Saved
Salvation begins with believing the truth about who Jesus is and what He has done. But it doesn’t end with belief in the mind—it calls for surrender of the heart.
The Bible says,
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
This is not a religious ritual—it’s a heart decision to trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord, turning away from sin and turning toward God.
Here’s what it means to be saved:
Salvation is both immediate and ongoing. In a moment, you are made new—justified, cleansed, adopted as a child of God. But the journey continues as you walk with Him, grow in Him, and live out your new identity.
You Can Begin Right Now
If you’re reading this and feel the tug in your heart—it’s not coincidence. It’s the Holy Spirit drawing you to Jesus.
– PRAYER OF SALVATION –
Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I need You.
I believe You died for me and rose again.
I turn away from my sin and surrender my life to You.
Be my Savior. Be my Lord. Fill me with Your Spirit and make me new.
Thank You for loving me. I choose to follow You, from this day forward. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer sincerely in your heart, you are now a child of God. “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) Heaven rejoices with you, and so do we. To grow in your new faith, it’s important to walk with other believers. We were never meant to follow Jesus alone. Do you need a church to fellowship and grow with?
